Greggy's First Raid (A Greggy The Pirate Story)

The following story is based on an RP I did with my buddy . I hope you all enjoy it ;3




Sonic's ship sailed across the sea. He had gathered his crew together for a meeting.

"Alright, mates", Sonic said. "Today's a big day." "How so?", asked Rouge, crossing her legs. "Well......", Amy said, "As you know, today is Greg's 4th birthday.....and the captain and I have been talking........And, well.......We've decided to take him with us on our next raid."

Everyone gasped. "But he's so young!", exclaimed Rouge. "Come on, Rouge", said Knuckles, crossing his arms. "I was already raiding when I was his age." Still," said Rouge, "do you think he's up for it?"


Sonic sighed. "Look' guys. If he's gonna be a pirate like the rest of us, he's gotta know what we do." "And that's exactly the reason why I'm glad we're not the kind of pirates that kill", said Amy. "Also guys, did you find some gifts for Greg?", Sonic asked.

"I got him this", said Tails, placing a wooden toy sword on the table. "I bought it the last time we were in town." Rouge pulled out a ring. "I got him this, because hey, even pirates like myself like jewelry." Knuckles placed a small bag of gold on the table. "I saved this up from a little woodcutting I did in town, figured he could use it to buy some sweets next time we dock."  Amy pulled out a homemade pirate vest. "I made him this", she said, smiling happily. "What about you, Sonic", Tails asked.

Sonic took off his hat. "I decided today, Greg gets to be captain." "WHAT?!", shouted Knuckles. "We have to do what a 4-year-old tells us?!" "yeah you do, Knux", said Sonic sternly, "unless you wanna be peeling spuds in the galley all day." "Come on, Knucky", said Rouge, "it won't be that bad. Besides, I think he has the makings of a good captain." "I think so, too", said Amy, smiling. "Oh, fine", said Kunckles, crossing his arms in anger. "But only because I feel like raiding today."


Suddenly, they heard a door open. "it's him!", Amy called out. "Hide the gifts!" Everyone did as they were told. A tiny little blue hedgehog walked out, holding onto a homemade teddy bear. "There's our little buccaneer!", said Amy happily. "Hey bud", said Sonic, smiling. "Sleep well?" "N-No, daddy....." Said Greg, rubbing his eyes. "I had the bad dweam again....the one about the mewmaid that wescued me.......She was dwoning again and I couwdn't save hew...." "oh, honey...", said Amy, hugging her son. "It was only a dream, little guy", said Rouge. "It'll pass, and I'm sure if what happens in your dream came true, you'd be able to save her." "But for now, it's better to be in the present", said Knuckles, patting Greg's head. "Come on, honey", said Amy, picking Greg up. "let's get you dressed. You've got a big day ahead." "I do?", asked Greg. Amy smiled. "Of course honey. It's your birthday after all", she said as they walked into Greg's room.

"That's the third day in a row he's had that dream", Sonic said. "It's got me worried......" "He'll get over it", said Rouge. "I used to have nightmares about the boogeyman." Knuckles laughed, which caused Rouge to smack him. Amy soon came back out with Greg, who was now fully dressed in a black shirt, red kerchief, green pants and boots. "Happy Birthday!", everyone shouted. "Aww, than you, evewyone", said Greg, smiling. Everyone hands Greg their gifts, and Sonic comes over. "What do you have, daddy?", Greg asked, cocking his head. Sonic went and put his hat on his son's head. "For today, big guy, I'm making you captain!" He said, smirking. "Weawwy?!" Said Greg, his eyes sparkling. "That's right, honey", said Amy, giggling. "Whatever you want us to do, we'll do it", said Rouge, winking. "as long as it's within our abilities", said Knuckles. "And even better", said Sonic, "You get to come with us on your first raid". "Waid?" said Greg, confused. "it's where we take gold from the rich and give to the poor, sweetheart", said Rouge. "Ohhh, wike Wobin Hood?", asked Greg. "Exactly, honey", said Amy. "We're good pirates". "as good as we get", said Knuckles, looking through a telescope. "Speaking of which, ship dead ahead!", he said, handing the telescope to Greg. "It's Anita's ship, Sonic."


"Well, big guy? What do we do?" asked Sonic. "uuummmmmm.........we waid it?" said Greg. "You heard him, Tails! Full speed ahead!" yelled Sonic. "Aye Aye!" said Tails, getting the ship to full speed. Meanwhile, Anita was displeased. A ship was closing in on her, and her crew had hidden themselves. At that moment, Sonic and his crew swung onto the ship, Amy carrying Greg. "Oh great, pirates", Anita said, angry. "Just what I need......." "That's wight!" said Greg, pulling out his toy swowd. "and now you'ww...GYAAAAAAH!" Greg tripped and fell over, his father's hat having gone over his eyes. He lifted up, and saw he had landed at Anita's feet, Anita looking down at him. He blushed. "Um......G-Give us aww youw gowd.........P-Pwease?"


Anita squealed. "Oh...my...God...You're the cutest little pirate I have ever seen!" She said happily. "Wow.........we should have brought him out with us a long time ago...." said Sonic. "You can do it, my little swashbuckler!", cheered Amy. "alright, little guy. I'll play along", said Anita, holding her hands up. The others got as much stuff as they could, with Anita handing Greg a bag of gold. "you're lucky you were here, kid. Otherwise I wouldn't have cooperated", said Anita. She looked up at the others. "Now get off my ship before I get angry!" Greg looked up at her, tears in his eyes* "Y-You didn't have to yew at my mommy and daddy........." he said. Anita handed him another bag of gold. "Here. I hate to see to see kids cry. Now go on." she said, heading inside to her captain's quarters. Greg grabbed onto Amy as they swung back over to their ship.


"Not a bad haul for your first time, big guy!" said Sonic, smirking. "Two bags of gold? I had five on my...." Knuckles said, about ready to finish, but he saw everyone glaring at him. "Um, two bags isn't bad for a first try, kiddo", Knuckles said, patting Greg's head. "Come on, let's head to port. We need to buy a cake for the party." Everyone nodded.

The crew docked at a nearby town, and headed into town to buy a cake, Rouge taking Greg into a sweet shop to buy some candy, and Greg stopping at the orphanage to give one of his bags of gold for the children there. They then headed back to the ship for Greg's birthday party.

Later that night, Sonic and Amy were getting ready for bed when there was a knock on the door. "Come in", Amy said. The door opened, and Greg came in. "Oh, hey captain", said Sonic, winking. "What's up?" *Greg sat down on his parent's bed, his father's hat in his hands. "Mommy, daddy...did I do well today in the waid?" "Honey, you were perfect! You did so well, I'm proud!" Amy said, nuzzling her son's cheek. "You really made Anita cooperate with us today, bud. I couldn't be more prouder of you", Sonic said, smiling. "in fact, I'm making you an official member of our crew!" "Weawwy, daddy?!" Said Greg, his eyes sparkling. "consider it your second gift from me, bud. You've earned it", Sonic said, putting his hat back on his son's head. "Now head onto bed, ya little scallywag. You've got another exciting day tomorrow." "OK, daddy!" said Greg, hugging his father. He ran out the door, happy as a dolphin. Amy grinned. "That was nice of you honey. He'll be a great addition to the crew." "I know, Ames" said Sonic, smiling. "he's defienetly got pirate in his blood."


And Sonic's ship continued to sail the sea, their search for the Chaos Emeralds and the legendary Master Emerald to continue with a new member: Greggy The Pirate.
